Ontario’s race with the smallest footprint

Come be a part of Ontario’s greenest and most remote trail run, offering breathtaking scenery of the Laurentain Mountains in the peak of the autumn colours.  This is the 4th annual Run Off-the-Grid and after the incredible feeback that we received from the prior year races, there is no question that the Run Off-the-Grid will establish a name for itself in the runner’s community.  It is destined to be one of the greatest trail running events in Ontario.

The course is challenging and tough – but, all the more rewarding when you cross the finish line!

Are you ready to break away from the Grid?  There are no roads and no pavement.  The course is 100% trail and completely remote.  It is you, your footsteps and the quiet of the wilderness.

The course is a 12.5 K loop with a mix of terrain from single track, old forest logging roads, rolling hills, super steep hills, flatter sections, technical rocky sections and a short section through a gravel pit with a sand dune to slide down.  Each additional loop is completed in the opposite direction.

New to trail running or long distance running?  Not sure you can handle the challenge?

Particpants are welcome to hike the 12.5K or 25K course and complete it at your own pace.  The focus is on ‘completion’ and not the time that it takes to get it done.  All that is required is the right motivation and anyone can do it!

What are the runners saying about the Run Off-the-Grid?

“This was a challenging, but really amazing course.  No getting bored on this course because the terrain was so variable.  The aid stations were AWESOME.  The volunteers were beyond incredible.  The course was super well marked and the km markings were super easy to see.  I truly wasn’t expecting anything that nice for such a new and small race.  The Run Off-the-Grid has the potential to be one of the most popular trail races in Ontario.  Can’t wait to come back next year!”

“I spent most of the race thinking ‘why would anyone do this on purpose?’.  And now I can’t wait to start training for the next one.  Thanks for making my first race ever a terrific experience.  Dinner and the eco-shower alone made it all worthwile!”

The race start/finish and all trails will be right here at Nature’s Harmony. Camping is available all weekend with a post-race dinner and after party celebration on Saturday evening, including bonfire, hot sauna and accoustic tunes around the fire.
