Register for the Run Off-the-Grid by July 31st, 2012 and be entered to win one of three free race registrations to the first annual ‘Into the White’ 5K/12K/25K snowshoe race at Nature’s Harmony on February 2, 2013.

Preparations are well underway for the 2012 Run Off-the-Grid on September 29th.  New this year, the Run Off-the-Grid is a member of the 2012 Trail Runner Trophy Series, which is a points-based series of 138 trail races across North America. We have also introduced a new 37K loop option to help participants that would like to train for the 50K. The race team has been working hard cutting, painting and posting all new Run Off-the-Grid signs on permanent posts along the course.  The course is open and ready for training and there have already been people training on the trails.  We are also in the process of creating a ‘Mattawa Endurance Series’, which will include all 4 endurance events in Mattawa – ‘Lost in the Rocks and Trees’ mountain bike race, North Bay to Mattawa canoe race, ‘Run Off-the-Grid’ trail run and ‘In to the White’ snowshoe race.  We are hoping to have details on this new series before this year’s Run Off-the-Grid.

For more information, please check out the Run Off-the-Grid event pages or stay up to date on recent developments and connect with other race participants on the Run Off-the-Grid Facebook group page.

Run Off-the-Grid – new 37K loop!

written by Natures Harmony on August 17th, 2011 Comments Off
Please help spread the word
Last year our participants asked for a shorter loop and we introduced the 12K.  This year, many of our 25K participants expressed an interest in training for the 50K, but ‘wished’ there was something in between to help them get there.  You asked for it and we have listened!  We are introducing a 37K course for the 2012 Run Off-the-Grid.  This course will offer a stepping stone for those participants that want to a little longer distance or want to work towards the 50K legacy.  Registration will be open within the next couple of weeks.  Stay tuned.

Again this year, we will continue to focus on growth and the development of new sponsorships, which share our concerns and respect for the environment.

If you are planning to register, please register early as registration numbers will drive more registration numbers. Early registration also helps us to plan for the event and approach sponsors.

If anyone is interested in volunteering or sponsoring the Run Off-the-Grid, please contact us directly.  All support is greatly appreciated!

For more information, please check out the Run Off-the-Grid event pages or stay up to date on recent developments and connect with other race participants on the Run Off-the-Grid Facebook group page.
