Mongolian Yurt

Our traditional Mongolian Yurt was hand-made in Mongolia by a local family with mostly natural materials and was assembled here at Nature’s Harmony.  The yurt is a traditional dwelling of Central Asian nomads and has been developed over hundreds of years.  It is made to resist extreme climates, and is warm in the winter months and cool in the summer months.

The yurt is nestled in a beautiful secluded setting with a private view of the Laurentian Mountains.   The yurt is equipped with a small woodstove, which is suitable for cooking and is fully furnished with a double bed and futon, which can be used as a sitting area or additional bed option.  There is also a small table with chairs and shelving for storage.

The private outdoor compost toilet is situated right next to the yurt.

We provide basic kitchen necessities, such as plates, cups, cutlery, pots and a kettle.  A BBQ is also available at the Yurt for cooking.  Water is supplied from our natural spring for both drinking and washing and wood is provided for heating the wood stove inside the yurt.
