The Ma’ayan chalet is set in its own secluded surroundings and is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway, families or larger groups. Guests can enjoy a warm cozy atmosphere curled up by the fireplace in the winter season or relax in the large walk-out gazebo in the spring, summer or fall.
This cabin is completely self-sufficient; complete with two solar panels to provide basic electricity, a fully equipped kitchen with a propane fridge and stove and an indoor composting toilet.
At this time, there is no running water in the cabin; however, jugs of water will be provided from our natural spring for drinking, washing, etc. There is also an outdoor shower at the cabin for the warmer seasons and the main lodge is always open for guests to come and take a warm shower.
The ‘Ma’ayan’ chalet can comfortably accommodate 2 to 14 people. There is a large bedroom on the main floor and on open concept loft that can be arranged to meet your family or group requirements.
Ma’ayan Chalet Pricing:
$150 per night (double occupancy) + $25 per additional guest. Discounts available for longer stays.
Future Cabin Expansions
Our goal for the future is to be able to offer a variety of simple cabins, each built with a different sustainable building technique. We want to be able to showcase and educate our guests on the different building styles available, while being able to accommodate our guests in these unique and artistic buildings. Some of the building styles we plan to use include: straw bale, cordwood, adobe, recycled tires, tree cabin, etc.
We are planning to build our first ‘eco-cabin’ in the summer of 2012.
