This was a wonderful adventure! The Yurt is an amazing experience. It is located away from anyone else staying on the property, we felt we had the space to ourselves. It was very relaxing and peaceful. We were there in August; there was a screened tent beside the Yurt for cooking, with a picnic table, water and stove. There were hammocks with a view of the incredible landscape. It was really the nicest camping experience one could wish for. The waterfront is beautiful, it feels like you are in Algonquin park, no cottages or boaters anywhere, just peace and solitude. Jennifer is an amazing host! I am looking forward to returning in the winter!

Jen and Tzach have such a beautiful oasis. This was our second time staying at Natures Harmony and we loved it as much as the first time. Incredible scenery, hospitality and an authentic getaway. Their waterfront is stunning and private, with lots of water fun (kayaks, canoes) The yurt is very private and wonderfully simple. It is clean and has everything you need for “glamping.” Jen and Tzach are so genuinely kind and are fantastic hosts. We will be back again soon for sure.

A wholesome day at Nature’s Harmony in Mattawa. So much fun. We didn’t want to leave. The tubing trails, the smell of a campfire, the yummy hot dogs and roasted marshmallows, the trail to the enchanted fortress teased all of our senses. The owners of Nature’s Harmony Ecolodge are the best! Can’t wait to return. I know of at least one Grandma that will sleep well tonight.

What a beautiful piece of land and a truly peaceful experience. From our surprisingly toasty, well supplied, insulated glamping tent to the unique sauna/hand pump shower and the various hiking/snowshoeing trails, we couldn’t have asked for any better of an experience. Jen was fantastic and super laid back, gave us our privacy but also helpful and so cheerful! Would highly recommend visiting this place at any time of year! We will be back to try the yurt with our dogs in the fall! Thank you for your hospitality!

Nature’s Harmony is everything that is advertised and way more. Jen is helpful, honest and very giving. My wife and I stayed in the Shamayim Cabin for New Year’s Eve 2020. It was very clean and really cozy. The hiking trails were picturesque with a fresh dusting of snow each morning. Truly a breathtaking experience embracing all natures beauty. There will be “No Regrets” if you stay at Nature’s Harmony.

The amazing feeling of getting relaxed in a peace mood and enjoying the environment. This was my best road trip till now. If you are looking for place to relax mind and body and to enjoy the nature this is the place. Spent a day without having any phone calls and disturbing emails.

Absolutely loved the place, the scenery exceeded my expectations. Bangs Bay is a short walk from this cabin with lots of canoes and kayaks available. The fall colours were so striking and we really felt like we were in the wilderness. We also appreciated the eco setup and enjoyed time away from technology. The wood stove is super cozy and the fire pit outside was great too. We’ll be back someday!

If you are looking for a place to disconnect, relax & have fun, Nature’s Harmony Ecolodge is the place to be. I also highly recommend the sauna if you have the time. It was amazing! Jen & Tzach were amazing hosts; super friendly & informative. The yurt was very well equipped and so cozy! The hiking trails & the bay were a highlight. We would definitely return!

My wife and I brought our puppy up north to Nature’s Harmony for a long weekend. Check-in was very easy – Jennifer met us when we pulled in and parked, and walked us through the property map with explanations and recommendations. The tent set up was great – cozy and comfortable, fully stocked with everything you’d need to eat. It is a ‘bring your own food’ setup, but the grill outside and the gas burner setup inside the tent was perfect. The wood stove kept us warm – at times even so warm that we’d open up the windows! The trail setup was ideal for a relaxing weekend outdoors with a dog – well marked trails of varying lengths and difficulties. We really enjoyed the Little Mountain trail, and in the afternoon made it up to the Lookout (this one was more challenging!) After a full day’s hike, the sauna was incredible – it needs to be reserved in advance (in order to be ready for use!) but was the perfect way to wind down a day. We’d definitely visit again – Jennifer’s prompt responses to any and all questions were much appreciated, and we had an amazing weekend.

Experience the solitude of Northern Ontario in this private and uniquely themed campground. The hosts are very gracious and friendly as well as respectful of the guests desire for solitude. Set in an area surrounded by northern bush, yet close enough to the town of Mattawa for those who may wish to dine or shop in town. Hiking, canoeing, campfires under the northern sky and a beautiful and serene view of the mountains.

The Mongolian yurt was such an amazing experience. You are situated on a bunch of land with lovely trails, views and lakes. We went canoeing. We saw beavers playing in the water. We saw moose tracks. We drank from the natural spring water which was so amazing. The yurt is gorgeous and comfortable. We had a bonfire and it was so quiet and serene. It was a very neat experience and I would recommend to anyone looking to do some glamping, hiking and exploring. There are some really cool things to see if you just take a drive around their land … A chalet, sauna, log cabins, glamping tents … So much to see.

If you haven’t been to Nature’s Harmony, you have to (have to, have to) come for a visit. The property is stunning, the accommodations are rustic and homey, the vibes are lovely, and just everything about this place feels good. My personal favourite is the wood-burning sauna. I’ve been going with my partner and our friends for 3-4 years now. We tend to always return in winter for x-country skiing and snowshoeing. We’ll have to go in the summer and fall soon! The hosts are so accommodating, happy to share their favourite hiking spots. They also work so hard to stay true to eco methods. They do everything themselves from maintaining the trails, plowing all the snow, providing fire wood, repairing and building the facilities, … on-and-on. It’s truly impressive. I’d suggest, instead of camping at a campground (which is great too!), try Nature’s Harmony. It’s always an unforgettable experience. xxoo

The yurt was such a fun experience! Super comfortable, very private, everything you need is close by and convenient. The trails are well marked and well maintained, and I definitely recommend going down to the Bay to sit in the hammock and relax or taking an hour in the sauna 🙂 we’ll be back for sure!

What an awesome place! My boyfriend and I spent two nights at Nature’s Harmony and absolutely loved it. There was everything we could need and the place was spotless. We got to explore the hiking trails and go for a swim which was great. Our dog also loved it! I would absolutely recommend going to Nature’s Harmony if you’re looking for a relaxing stay!

This is a great place if you want to be surrounded by great hosts, tons of things to do and nature at its best. From snow tubing and snowshoeing in the winter to nature trails and races in the summer. Always a great time to be had. Great prices for an all-day adventure. If you haven’t tried one of these activities you really must give it a go here!.

Jen is an amazing host! We stayed in the Mayan Chalet for the second year in a row and will continue to go back every year. It is an amazing experience and a great opportunity to disconnect. The chalet is beautiful. There is hiking and the tobogganing is a blast. Highly recommend!

Myself and six other friends had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s chalet over the new year. We were there last year as well for new years and were excited to return. The chalet is off grid with no service and really allows you to disconnect and settle into nature and enjoy the company at the same time. 🙂 A beautiful landscape right out your door to hike, snowshoe, etc. Great for dogs that need some nature therapy as well. 😉

Nature’s Harmony is a beautiful spot with lots of opportunity to enjoy nature. The glamping tent was perfect: beautiful spot, warm wood stove, lots of space, fun loft bed, great kitchen set-up. Given the size of the space, next time I would bring extra light sources (In December darkness comes early, and I brought two LED lanterns, and string lights). The sauna is not to be missed ~ What a wonderful experience, and well worth the extra cost!!! Bring your towels and suits. Don’t forget to plan time to explore the many trails. We loved our stay!!

Such a fun, unique opportunity to go off the grid for a bit and experience breathtaking views, brilliantly starry nights, and days spent hiking and out on the water. We’re so grateful for our stay and for our hosts providing us with an evening sauna as well!

The glamping tent is so lovely and was so relaxing to be in. The bay was GORGEOUS! We were able to kayak and it was so relaxing and so fun. I have to mention the washrooms were so good for being out without electricity. It was so clean and made the weekend that much better. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone. Being near the fire and being able to see all the stars. We all loved it :)!!

Our stay at Jen and Tzach’s yurt was absolutely magical! They were incredibly hospitable and so kind. We came to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and had the most enjoyable and relaxing time. The yurt was beautiful and its surroundings even more so! There are plenty of beautiful hikes to do with varying lengths depending on what your abilities are. Our 9-month-old puppy was in heaven being able to run around in our own space to explore! The 3 of us (2 humans + a large dog) fit very comfortably in the yurt, without feeling too stuffy. The outdoor toilet was also great – the peat moss really works wonders! The yurt is fully equipped with all of the cooking supplies that you’ll need – and dishes too! The “kitchen” tent is stocked with everything you need, including 2 small gas burners, as well as a BBQ outside the tent to use as well. The water from their natural spring on the property was probably some of the best tasting and cleanest water we’ve ever had! Such a luxury! With hammocks everywhere and gorgeous scenery, you are sure to have the most relaxing stay. We didn’t get to enjoy the water activities as our dog wouldn’t sit while in the canoe, but they have lots of things to choose from and we are sad that we couldn’t do it! We will definitely be visiting in the winter to experience what Nature’s Harmony offers in the colder months. Highly recommend this place – it will not disappoint. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

My niece and daughter and our pup had a wonderful time unplugging at the cabin! Jen was responsive and friendly and we loved the hiking trails! Weather turned poor for our visit so swimming and boating were minimal, but what we did experience was pure magic. We even didn’t mind the compost toilet!

Nature’s Harmony is such a gem! My kids and I stayed in the Glamping Tent which was super comfortable and set up with everything we needed. It was absolutely quiet and peaceful, and we had the best sleep ever! It was lovely to be disconnected from technology during our stay. Jennifer was an amazing host. We love what her and her family are doing in Mattawa. So great to see fellow humans being incredible stewards of the planet, and caring deeply about the environment.

This property is amazing. I visited with a group of friends and we loved the cabin and giant loft space for all of us to stay. We were able to have a fire using the firepit, a BBQ, and enjoy the deck. The property is tucked away in it’s own little area that is quiet and private. The indoor space easily fit all of us. The host was great with any questions we had and checked in with us often on our drive up as we needed to take an alternate route. She was great! It was a wonderful stay and we will be back in the future.

Had a great time at this hidden gem! Equipped with a wood stove, the yurt was warm and cozy – perfect for a late December trip. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating and the large property offered many trails to discover. The man-made luge was also a lot of fun. Lots of fun activities for all ages. Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend to others. Will be back!

I just returned from five days in the yurt. We had a relaxing vacation, that was also fairly active. We hiked the trails to find beautiful views of the mountains. The water was great, we swam in Bang’s Bay everyday. We canoed, kayaked, and tried stand up paddle boarding.  The yurt itself was pretty and exactly what we needed. It stayed dry despite a heavy storm one night. We are usually backpackers so this felt quite luxurious. The dishes, bbq, grill, chopped wood, and coffee were really nice comforts.  Jen and Tzach were kind, taking the time to ask if we needed anything and making sure we were having a great stay. They have a beautiful space and I felt so grateful they share it with the public.  The location was great; secluded enough that I had no signal on my phone but close enough to town that we were able to go to the grocery store and back quickly if needed.

Glamping at Nature’s Harmony was ideal. The tent had everything we needed for a comfortable, warm stay on a wintry February weekend, and was very peaceful and quiet. The tubing course was a very welcome surprise and the trails on the property were amazing. We loved staying here and would definitely come back!

Jennifer was an exceptional host! Communication couldn’t have been better. She is thoughtful and helped with anything we needed during our stay. The rustic cabin is quite large and very clean. The dining table is a fantastic for gathering indoors. The fire pit is a great size. The outdoor showers are nice and are only a short walk down by the main house. We really enjoyed going to the water. There were lots of kayaks and canoes, tubes, and a lily pad for guests to use. There were also a couple of hammocks by the water that were great for relaxing. Everyone we encountered during our stay was super friendly.

By far the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in to date. I’m an avid camper and this was truly glamping by my standards. Everything was provided for that you could need and Jennifer and her husband were excellent hosts. I was able to stay in both the Yurt and Glamping Tent and loved both for different reasons. I felt safe during my stay (I was alone) and everything was clean. They had some really interesting features on their property such as solar showers (summer use only), composting toilets, a vast trail network that was clearly laid out and a sauna that could be booked for a fee with an interior shower. It was a relaxing, simple week with no cell reception and I loved it. Hopefully, I’ll be back again as it was the perfect winter get a way.

My friends and I had such an amazing time! The best welcome greeting from Sasha! Bless her! I think all/any establishment should have happy dogs as greeters. Sets the tone of the whole experience. Personally, I loved that Jen provided us our basic needs. The yurt is beautiful, unique and comfortably fits 4 people. I appreciate the covered kitchen/dining space so the bugs didn’t feast on us while we have ours 🙂 The little compost toilet is clean (cleanest compared to any I have used in the past) and THANK YOU PEAT MOSS! Lol! And let’s not forget, THE BEST CAMPFIRE EVER MADE (thank you birch and Tzach who seem to be cutting wood all day everyday!)! It’s amazing how we picked the shortest/easiest hiking trail and we still managed to get lost! However, getting lost is part of the adventure and we discovered a beautiful meadow as a result. I hope you find this too. And to end all good things is another good thing – the eco showers! AFTER i-thought-this-was-a-half-hour-hike-oh-my-gosh-we’re-lost-oooh-meadow-wow-beautiful-i’m-tired-it’s-so-hot-should-we-start-heading-back-this-way-no-this-way-ooh-is-that-another-trail-wait-let’s-just-go-back-the-way-we-came-okay-good-idea-oooh-a-high-chair-maybe-for-hunting-let’s-climb-it-done-okay-let’s-definitely-head-back-i’m-hungry HIKING, the eco shower was the most refreshing ever! I mean you can clean yourself and quench your thirst at the same time! It was the perfect cool to what had been a very exciting and hot day. This whole experience may just be the highlight of our summer! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Jen’s place is a wonderful slice of backwoods heaven. It’s remote location and extensive property covered in a beautiful trail system were some of the highlights of the stay. We had a great, late-winter, family weekend away. It’s refreshing spending time in a location that is off-grid. Our days were spent hiking, sliding, biking and kick-sledding. The nights were amazingly quiet and dark (who knew the fridge and furnace at home made so much noise!). The hosts are welcoming and informative. The kids got a kick out of the sauna, and learnt about saving water by using a composting toilet (we arrived on World Water Day, so our 5-year old was particularly interested in this after discussing water use at school that day). We’ll definitely be back with the family, and have the Off The Grid run in our calendars.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this glamping tent this past weekend because we aren’t much for roughing it. We loved the tent and it was so roomy with an upper level housing the bed to allow for a lot of space below to hang out. The kitchen was located in a screened area right next to the tent and had a BBQ and camping gas stove as well as a prep and eating table – these are mentioned in the listing but I don’t think we realized how well equipped they would be and we regret not bringing more interesting food to cook up! The toilet is also located right next to the tent and although I never thought I would say this, it was actually a pleasant outhouse and even had no bugs hanging around inside. There was a heat wave on our first night so the tent was a bit hot until the night cooled down, but we moved our mattress “downstairs” by the window to help out! Our favourite part of the experience was all the stuff to do, we went on a few of the hikes on the property and made use of the swimming and paddling on the bay – it was so fun to try out all the different water sport options. The bugs were out in full force but Jen had plenty of bug hats ready for us to use. Jen was extremely welcoming from the moment we came, and readily available if we had any questions (including our dummy ones for how to use a BBQ lol) – as well as super down to earth and easy going. It was nice to get away from the city with a bit of comfort and disconnect and we hope to be back in the fall and winter!
