The Gathering Music Festival

THE GATHERING – a music festival and potluck camp out for friends in the heart of nature.

Come and join us for a festive weekend of camping, great musical performances, a chance to re-connect with old friends and meet new friends and an opportunity to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

*** Update*** We have decided to change the venue a little to bring it in line with our original intentions. When we started planning with our great friend and musician, Peirson Ross, all we wanted was an intimate gathering with friends, and friends of friends, where we could enjoy incredible music in a great environment and have an opportunity to hang out with old and new friends….like the old times!

Somewhere we steered off course a little and the production was starting to get stressful. We recognized this and felt it was an opportunity to bring this venue back in line with our original intentions.

The good news is that by scaling back on the production end and focusing on the intimacy of the event – we don’t need to recover any costs! The Gathering, including camping, will be free for everyone to attend – we will just have a donation box to support the musicians.

It will be up close and personal with Peirson Ross, along with other great musicians, and I can’t imagine seeing him in any better environment.

The venue itself will maintain the same general format:

Friday, August 22nd – grounds open at 2:00 pm.  Informal open bonfire jam session starts at 8:00 pm.

Saturday, August 23rd – potluck dinner at 6:00 pm followed by our intimate concert series. Catherine & Dan will kick off the night at 7:00 pm, followed by Rodger Dodger, Son Down and this years headliner, The Peirson Ross Band with special guest appearances.

After midnight, The Gathering will wind down with an acoustic bonfire series, including three unplugged acoustic performances.

Daytime Activities – there will be something for everyone to enjoy. You can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery with good company or get out on the trails for a hike, take a dip in the beautiful Bangs Bay off the Ottawa River, enjoy a paddle on the Bay or have fun playing a variety of outdoor games (horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, bocce ball, Frisbee cups, etc.).
